The Bank of America Sunset Jazz festival is proud to announce the return “Best Picnic Contest” during on September 13, 2008.  This contest is free for anyone, but space is limited.  Alltel, a five year sponsor of the Jazz Festival, will be our official judge and will also be giving away some great prizes to the winners. Alltel staff will be roaming the crowd taking pictures of contest participants to see who will “bring home the gold.” Prizes will be awarded in three main categories:

1.      Most Unique Display: originality of concept/theme in relation to the festival

2.      Largest Spread: amount and variety

3.      Most Colorful Arrangement

1.      Registration ends midnight September 10, 2008

2.      Picnic setup must be complete by 6:30pm; Judging runs from 6:30-7:30pm. 

3.      Participants must be present to win

4.      No grills, pets, beach umbrellas, propane tanks

5.      Participants must stop by Alltel’s Sponsor Booth to pick up contest entry materials

6.      Participants must be 18 years or older

7.      Only one entry per person will be accepted.

8.       If the selected winners are unreachable, ineligible, or fail to claim the prize within a specified time (TBD), the winners will forfeit their prizes and the runner-ups will be contacted.

9.      Participants must read and sign contest agreement

10.   Limited registration may be accepted the day of the festival (TBD)

Sunset Best Picnic Contest Agreement 

The Sunset Jazz Festival, Bank of America, Alltel or Pride Communications is not responsible for entries not received due to internet access problems, service outages, delays, or any other technical difficulties or glitches.

By registering, participants indicate acceptance of these Official Contest Rules and, except where prohibited by law, the winners will be required to consent to the use of their first and last names, state or province, country, and/or prize information, without limitation for promotional purposes and without further payment.

By submitting an entry, participants release The Sunset Jazz Festival, Bank of America, Alltel and affiliated sponsors from any and all liability for any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the prize (including, without limitation, claims, costs, injuries, and losses related to personal injuries, death, damage to or destruction of property, or rights of publicity or privacy). EMAIL ADDRESSES SUBMITTED TO THE SUNSET JAZZ FESTIVAL, ALLTEL OR PRIDE COMMUNICATIONS WILL NOT BE SHARED, SOLD, OR DISCLOSED TO THIRD PARTIES, EXCEPT AS REQUIRED BY LAW.

By submitting an entry and/or photos, participants grant The Sunset Jazz Festival and Pride Communications the right to use and/or publish their ideas on websites and/or in Pride Magazine.

Entrants agree to be bound by these Official Contest Rules, which are final and binding in all respects. These Official Contest Rules constitute the entire agreement of the parties with respect to the subject matter addressed here and may not be altered except by a written document signed both by qualified representatives of Pride Communications and the entrant. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pride Communications reserves the right to change these Official Rules at any time. Any entrant who violates these Official Rules will be subject to disqualification.
