Official Hosts Announced for the 2007 Cadillac Sunset Jazz Festival
Charlotte, NC - The 2007 Cadillac Sunset Jazz
Festival is pleased to announce the host for this
year’s festival, Q92.7 radio personality
Jaye Delai.
Joining Delai to co-host during intermission is one
of Charlotte’s beloved Carolina Panthers,
Mike Minter.
The festival will be held on
Saturday, September
22, at Symphony Park-SouthPark mall.
Jaye
Delai
has twenty years experience as an actor and comedian
and is an award- winning radio-broadcasting veteran
who has worked at a number of stations including WBLX (Mobile, AL), KBXX (Houston, TX) and formerly
V-101.9 (Charlotte, NC) as the “Morning Man.” He
also created the top mix show, "Club Majic," while
at KMJQ "Majic 102" (Houston). He is also a frequent
guest on many morning radio shows around the
country. In June 2006 Jaye joined the staff of Q92.7
WCNC in Charlotte bringing a positive vibe by
creating a mid-day morning show like none other.
Mike Minter’s
professional football career began and ended with
one team--the Carolina Panthers. He was selected in
1997, drafted in the second round. Since then, he
has become the team’s all-time leader in forced
fumbles and has ranked amongst the team’s leading
tacklers almost every season. Minter earned his
degree in engineering from the University of
Nebraska (where he was inducted into the Hall of
Fame), and is the principal or partner of many
successful corporations. Five years ago, Minter
began his entrepreneurial debut in real estate and
quickly earned a reputation as an accomplished and
savvy developer. He works closely with and serves
as the team spokesperson for the Salvation Army Boys
and Girls Club, is the state spokesperson for the
National Guard Youth ChalleNGe Program, and a
regional spokesperson for the Kidney Foundation.
Headlining this year’s
festival is the electrifying jazz violinist,
Ken Ford.
Also performing this year, are Charlotte’s own
Maria Howell
(now based in Atlanta) and local jazz sensations
Soulganic
and Uncommon Jazz
featuring
Shableek. The concert is
free and
scheduled from
1:30
p.m.
until 8:30
p.m.

Performing at this year’s festival are local jazz
sensations Soulganic and Uncommon Jazz, Charlotte’s own Maria Howell (now based
in Atlanta) and headliner Ken Ford. The concert is free and scheduled from
1:30pm until 8:30pm.
