Official Hosts Announced for the 2007 Cadillac Sunset Jazz Festival

Charlotte, NC - The 2007 Cadillac Sunset Jazz Festival is pleased to announce the host for this year’s festival, Q92.7 radio personality Jaye Delai.  Joining Delai to co-host during intermission is one of Charlotte’s beloved Carolina Panthers, Mike Minter. The festival will be held on Saturday, September 22, at Symphony Park-SouthPark mall.

Jaye Delai has twenty years experience as an actor and comedian and is an award- winning radio-broadcasting veteran who has worked at a number of stations including WBLX (Mobile, AL), KBXX (Houston, TX) and formerly V-101.9 (Charlotte, NC) as the “Morning Man.” He also created the top mix show, "Club Majic," while at KMJQ "Majic 102" (Houston). He is also a frequent guest on many morning radio shows around the country. In June 2006 Jaye joined the staff of Q92.7 WCNC in Charlotte bringing a positive vibe by creating a mid-day morning show like none other.

Mike Minter’s professional football career began and ended with one team--the Carolina Panthers.  He was selected in 1997, drafted in the second round. Since then, he has become the team’s all-time leader in forced fumbles and has ranked amongst the team’s leading tacklers almost every season.  Minter earned his degree in engineering from the University of Nebraska (where he was inducted into the Hall of Fame), and is the principal or partner of many successful corporations.  Five years ago, Minter began his entrepreneurial debut in real estate and quickly earned a reputation as an accomplished and savvy developer.  He works closely with and serves as the team spokesperson for the Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club, is the state spokesperson for the National Guard Youth ChalleNGe Program, and a regional spokesperson for the Kidney Foundation.

Headlining this year’s festival is the electrifying jazz violinist, Ken Ford. Also performing this year, are Charlotte’s own Maria Howell (now based in Atlanta) and local jazz sensations Soulganic and Uncommon Jazz featuring Shableek. The concert is free and scheduled from 1:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
